I don’t know about you, but if eating can bring a more beautiful complexion, sign me up! I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “you are what you eat.” Well, it isn’t so far from the truth, as far as your skin is concerned, at least. We’re not talking pizza and cupcakes here (boo), but a handful of colorful fruits and vegetables are especially helpful in boosting the healthy appearance of our skin. Here are a few notable skin-saving foods to make sure you include in your diet:
  1. Tomatoes

This vibrant fruit (yep, a tomato is a fruit), is not only great for Friday night chips and salsa night, as well as heart-healthy salads, but it is also packed with potent antioxidants to help fight all the yucky stuff in the air that touches your skin. Um, do Bloody Marys count?

Since we’re on the topic of salsa, we may as well add its delicious cousin, the key ingredient of guacamole, to our discussion. Avocados contain healthy fats that can assist in reducing inflammation.
